Event Planner - Charity Galas

About the Role

Our client, a reputable charity organization, is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Event Planner to spearhead the organization of their key fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and community fundraisers in Klerksdorp. You will manage all aspects of event planning, from conceptualization and budgeting to execution and post-event analysis. This hybrid role requires a blend of on-site coordination and remote strategic planning, ensuring that each event is not only successful but also contributes significantly to our fundraising goals and mission awareness within the North West province.

• Conceptualize, plan, and execute a variety of fundraising events, including large-scale galas.
• Develop and manage event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and secure necessary services.
• Coordinate all logistical aspects, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and décor.
• Liaise with sponsors, donors, and volunteers to ensure successful event participation.
• Oversee event promotion, ticketing, and registration processes.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and prepare detailed reports on outcomes and financial performance.

• Proven experience in event planning and management, preferably for non-profit or charity organizations.
• Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
• Creative flair and an eye for detail in event design and execution.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid capacity.
