About the Role

Our client, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to improving community well-being in Vereeniging , is seeking a skilled and persuasive Grant Writer . This role is essential for securing the funding necessary to sustain and expand our vital programs. You will research potential funding sources, develop compelling grant proposals, and manage relationships with foundations and grant-making bodies. This hybrid position allows for strategic remote work combined with essential on-site collaboration with program teams to gather information and ensure proposals accurately reflect organizational needs and impact in the Gauteng region.

• Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
• Write, edit, and submit high-quality, persuasive grant proposals and applications.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with grant-making organizations and contacts.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and data for proposals.
• Manage grant reporting requirements and ensure timely submission of all necessary documentation.
• Track grant funding status and maintain a database of submitted proposals and awards.

• Proven track record in successful grant writing and fundraising within the non-profit sector.
• Excellent research, writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex program needs and impacts.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple deadlines.
• Experience with budget development for grant proposals.
• Ability to work independently in a remote capacity and collaborate effectively on-site.
