About the Role
Our client, a non-profit organization committed to advancing education and community development, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Remote Grant Writer and Development Officer . This fully remote position is integral to securing essential funding through grant applications and fostering relationships with institutional funders. You will be responsible for researching funding opportunities, writing compelling grant proposals, managing grant reporting, and contributing to the overall development strategy of the organization.

- Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and corporations aligned with the organization's mission.
- Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, ensuring they are compelling, accurate, and meet all funder requirements.
- Manage the grant application process from initial research through submission and follow-up.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with foundation program officers and key stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate grant reports, demonstrating the impact of funded projects.
- Collaborate with program teams to gather necessary information for proposals and reports in the Western Cape .
- Proven experience as a Grant Writer with a demonstrated track record of successful funding acquisition.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Strong understanding of the grant funding landscape and non-profit operations.
- Proficiency in grant management software and standard office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, essential for managing multiple deadlines in a remote capacity .
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
