About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and empathetic Volunteer Coordinator to manage their remote volunteer program. This role is crucial for recruiting, training, and supporting the dedicated individuals who contribute their time and skills to our charitable cause. Operating entirely remotely, you will be the primary point of contact for volunteers, ensuring they have a positive and productive experience. Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies for volunteer recruitment , screening, and onboarding.
- Coordinate and schedule volunteer activities, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and volunteer availability.
- Provide ongoing support, training, and motivation to volunteers, fostering a positive and engaging experience.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records, including hours, contact information, and performance feedback.
- Communicate regularly with volunteers via email, phone, and virtual meetings to share updates and address concerns.
- Organize virtual volunteer appreciation events and initiatives.
- Previous experience in volunteer management , recruitment, or coordination.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse individuals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing schedules and records.
- Proficiency in using virtual communication tools and basic database management.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting .
- A strong understanding of and commitment to the non-profit sector and volunteerism.
