About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Community Development Facilitator to drive positive change within communities, with a focus on initiatives in and around Stellenbosch . This role involves empowering local residents, fostering sustainable development projects, and building capacity within community groups. You will work remotely, collaborating with local stakeholders and utilizing digital tools to coordinate efforts and share resources.

- Design and implement community development strategies and projects.
- Facilitate participatory planning processes with community members and local organizations.
- Provide training and capacity building to community groups on relevant development topics.
- Mobilize community resources and foster partnerships with local stakeholders and government agencies.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of community development initiatives, reporting on progress.
- Manage project budgets and ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
- A degree or relevant qualification in Community Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Proven experience in community development facilitation, project management, or participatory planning.
- Strong understanding of sustainable development principles and methodologies.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in using digital collaboration tools and platforms for remote work.
- Ability to work independently and foster strong relationships with diverse community groups in the Western Cape context.
