About the Role

Our client, an esteemed environmental conservation organization, is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to support their operations in Richards Bay . This role is essential for recruiting, training, and managing a team of volunteers who contribute to vital conservation projects along the Kwa Zulu-Natal coast. You will be responsible for creating an engaging volunteer experience, ensuring efficient deployment of volunteers to various field and administrative tasks, and fostering a strong sense of community among participants.

This hybrid role requires a blend of on-site coordination and remote administrative duties to effectively manage our volunteer program.

• Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain volunteers for conservation projects.
• Organize and conduct volunteer orientation and training sessions.
• Schedule and manage volunteers for various field activities, including environmental monitoring and clean-up drives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records and track volunteer hours and contributions.

• Previous experience in volunteer coordination, human resources, or event management.
