About the Role

Our client is seeking an energetic and proactive Community Outreach Officer to join their team serving the East London area. This role is essential for building strong connections between the organization and the community, promoting its services, and identifying opportunities for engagement and support. The position involves a blend of field-based activities and remote administrative work, offering flexibility. You will be instrumental in reaching out to diverse community groups, understanding their needs, and facilitating access to valuable resources and programs within the Eastern Cape .

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage various community segments.
• Organize and conduct community events, workshops, and information sessions.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and stakeholders.
• Promote the organization's services and programs through various communication channels.
• Gather feedback from the community to inform program development and improvement.
• Identify community needs and connect individuals with appropriate support services.

• Relevant qualification in Community Development, Social Sciences, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience in community outreach, engagement, or program coordination.
• Strong understanding of the social landscape and community dynamics in East London .
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a hybrid work schedule, performing duties both in the field and remotely.
