About Jesuit Missions (JM)

Jesuit Missions (JM) is the international mission and development organisation of the Jesuits in Britain. For over 60 years, we have partnered with communities in some of the world’s most vulnerable regions to promote social justice and human dignity. Historically connected with Guyana, India, South Africa, and Zimbabwe, our work now spans the globe, supporting initiatives where more than 14,000 Jesuits and countless lay collaborators serve.

JM delivers a wide range of programmes in low‑income countries, including:

  • Supporting 300,000 people in India to access basic rights, including an anti‑human trafficking project in Darjeeling.
  • Driving an environmental programme in Madagascar, featuring youth‑led advocacy for climate action.
  • Advancing education, women’s empowerment, agricultural sustainability, and skills training in South Sudan, one of the poorest nations in the world.

Our mission reflects the Jesuit commitment “to serve the faith through the promotion of justice.” We work closely with partners in the Global South on campaigns for climate justice and human rights.
