About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary and experienced Development Director to lead their fundraising efforts, operating entirely remotely. This senior role is paramount in driving the financial sustainability and growth of the organization within the Charity & Voluntary sector. You will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive development strategies, cultivating major donor relationships, and overseeing all aspects of fundraising campaigns.
Working from anywhere, you will collaborate closely with the executive team and board members, leveraging your expertise to inspire support and secure the resources needed to achieve our client's ambitious social impact goals, fostering a culture of philanthropy and resource stewardship.
- Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to meet organizational revenue goals.
- Cultivate and solicit major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
- Oversee grant writing, donor stewardship, and capital campaign initiatives.
- Build and manage relationships with key donors, prospects, and philanthropic leaders.
- Lead and mentor the development team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Analyze fundraising performance data and provide regular reports to the executive team and board.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in non-profit fundraising and development, with a strong track record in major gifts and campaigns.
- Proven success in leading fundraising initiatives within the Charity & Voluntary sector.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills.
- Experience in building and managing high-level donor relationships.
- Proficiency in fundraising software and CRM systems.
