Community Engagement Facilitator

Our client is seeking a motivated and community-oriented Community Engagement Facilitator to join their Social Care team, working remotely to support initiatives in Kimberley. This role focuses on building strong connections within the community, identifying needs, and mobilizing resources to address social challenges. You will be instrumental in fostering partnerships and facilitating dialogue between the organization and the residents of the Northern Cape.

This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, with a passion for community development and empowerment.

• Develop and implement strategies to engage diverse community members and stakeholders.
• Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and information sessions, primarily virtually.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with local community leaders, groups, and organizations.
• Identify community needs and priorities through surveys, consultations, and feedback mechanisms.
• Communicate program information and updates effectively through various channels, including digital platforms.
• Assist in coordinating volunteer efforts and community-based projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in community engagement, outreach, or program coordination.
• Strong understanding of community dynamics and social issues in the Kimberley region.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in virtual meeting platforms and digital communication tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and be results-oriented.
