Community Outreach Coordinator

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Community Outreach Coordinator to enhance their presence and services within the George community. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining strong relationships with local organizations, community leaders, and residents to identify needs and promote engagement. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing outreach programs that directly benefit the community, working from both our George office and engaging directly with stakeholders across the Western Cape region.

This position offers a dynamic blend of office-based strategy and on-the-ground community interaction.

• Design, plan, and execute community outreach initiatives and events.
• Build and nurture relationships with diverse community groups, NGOs, and local government bodies.
• Identify community needs and develop strategies to address them through available resources.
• Promote the organization's services and programs to target audiences.
• Gather feedback from the community to inform program development and service delivery.
• Prepare reports on outreach activities and their impact on the community.

• Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Proven experience in community outreach, program coordination, or public relations.
• Excellent networking, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, both remotely and in person.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with the social and economic landscape of the Western Cape is an advantage.
