Grant Writer - Social Services

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join their dedicated team, focusing on securing funding for vital social services in the Port Elizabeth area. This role is essential for the financial sustainability of our programs, requiring a proactive approach to identifying funding opportunities and crafting persuasive proposals. You will work closely with program managers and leadership to translate project needs into compelling narratives that resonate with potential funders.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in grant writing and a deep understanding of the non-profit funding landscape.

• Research and identify potential funding sources, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies, relevant to our mission.
• Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, applications, and reports in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information, data, and statistics to support grant requests.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key funding contacts and prospects.
• Track grant reporting requirements and ensure compliance with all funder guidelines and deadlines.

• Demonstrated success in writing and securing grants for non-profit organizations, preferably in social services.
• Excellent research, writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in utilizing grant databases and research tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively, even in a remote setting.
