Community Outreach Worker - Remote

Our client is seeking an energetic and dedicated Community Outreach Worker to join their fully remote Community & Social Care team, supporting the Port Elizabeth area. This role involves actively engaging with community members through digital platforms, phone calls, and virtual events to identify needs, promote available services, and foster a sense of connection and support. You will be instrumental in raising awareness about social programs, connecting individuals with resources, and building a strong online presence for community engagement.

• Conduct virtual outreach initiatives to connect with target community populations.
• Promote awareness of social services and programs through online channels, social media, and virtual presentations.
• Identify and assess community needs through online surveys, virtual focus groups, and digital communication.
• Connect individuals and families with appropriate resources and support services available remotely.
• Maintain detailed records of outreach activities, client interactions, and service referrals in a digital system.
• Collaborate with the remote team to develop and refine outreach strategies and digital engagement tools.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate or diploma in social work, community development, or a related field is an advantage.
• Previous experience in community outreach, social work, or a related client-facing role.
• Excellent virtual communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences online.
• Proficiency in using virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and social media tools.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
