Community Engagement Specialist

Our client, a dedicated non-profit organization in Stellenbosch , is seeking an enthusiastic Community Engagement Specialist . This role focuses on building and strengthening connections between the organization and the diverse communities it serves. You will be responsible for designing and implementing outreach initiatives, fostering partnerships, and ensuring that community voices are heard and integrated into program development. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to positive social change within the Western Cape region, working within a supportive team environment.

• Develop and execute strategies to increase community participation and engagement with our client's programs.
• Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and events.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with community leaders, local groups, and residents.
• Act as a liaison between the organization and the community, ensuring effective two-way communication.
• Gather community feedback and insights to inform program design and delivery.
• Support the development and distribution of communication materials for community outreach.

• Proven experience in community organizing, outreach, or a related field, preferably within the non-profit sector
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with diverse community groups.
• Experience in event planning and facilitation.
• Strong understanding of community development principles and challenges.
• A relevant degree or diploma in Social Sciences, Communications, or a related field is advantageous.
