Advocacy Officer

Our client is seeking a passionate and articulate Advocacy Officer to join their fully remote team. This crucial role will involve developing and implementing strategies to influence policy and promote positive social change aligned with our client's mission. You will conduct research, engage with stakeholders, and craft compelling messages to raise awareness and drive action on critical issues. As a remote position, you will work from your home office, collaborating virtually with national and international partners to amplify our client's voice and impact effectively.

• Develop and implement strategic advocacy plans to achieve organizational policy objectives.
• Conduct research on relevant social, economic, and political issues impacting our client's mission.
• Engage with policymakers, government officials, and other stakeholders to promote key advocacy messages.
• Prepare policy briefs, position papers, and advocacy materials for various audiences.
• Build and maintain relationships with partner organizations, coalitions, and civil society groups.
• Monitor legislative and policy developments, identifying opportunities and challenges for advocacy.

• Proven experience in advocacy , policy analysis, or public affairs, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote setting.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and coalition building.
