Project Support
As the Going Green Together Project Officer, you will play an important role in the ongoing delivery, promotion, and development of the programme across the North East region.
Going Green Together is a unique support programme led by VONNE that helps support VCSE organisations to become more environmentally sustainable. Through practical resources, training, events, and peer learning, we help organisations build the knowledge, confidence and connections to make meaningful environmental change. The programme is currently funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and Point North.
In this dynamic and people-orientated role, you will work closely with the Project Coordinator and our delivery partners to build relationships and support participating VCSE organisations. You will support, coordinate and deliver a range of programme activities including one-to-one organisational support, communications and marketing, events, resource development, monitoring and evaluation, and partnership engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to support, connect, and empower organisations on their environmental sustainability journey.
VONNE is the regional membership body for the VCSE sector in the North East of England, supporting more than 1,500 members and the wider sector across the North East. Our vision is for a thriving VCSE sector supporting communities and addressing inequalities in the North East of England. We exist to support, promote and advocate for the North East VCSE sector to ensure it is better understood, supported and appreciated.
The Final date to receive applications is 12 th October 2026. Interviews will be held between 21st and 23rd October 2026.
The position is part time for three days a week (22.5 hours) and fixed term lasting for 11 months. The role will be home-based with the option to work from various co-working locations. The role will also involve travel across the North East to meet with Going Green Together participants and delivery partners, and to attend events.
