As Conservation Projects Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of established conservation projects, ensuring successful delivery against objectives, budgets and funding requirements. You will provide leadership and support to project staff, consultants and volunteers, helping them to deliver high-quality habitat management, monitoring and engagement activities across the region.
Working with a wide range of stakeholders, including funders, landowners, local authorities, businesses and environmental organisations, you will build and maintain strong partnerships that drive positive outcomes for bumblebees and wider biodiversity. You will also identify opportunities to strengthen collaboration and support future conservation initiatives.
This role combines strategic oversight with practical conservation delivery. From managing project performance and risk to supporting site visits, habitat management advice and data collection, you will play a central role in ensuring projects achieve lasting environmental impact. You will also represent the Trust externally, promoting our work through meetings, events, public engagement activities and stakeholder communications.
We're looking for someone with substantial experience managing large-scale conservation projects and leading remote teams. You'll be an excellent organiser, confident communicator and relationship-builder, with a strong understanding of nature conservation, habitat management and ecological restoration. A passion for helping people connect with nature and a commitment to collaborative working are essential.
The Bumblebee Conservation Trust's vision is a world where bumblebees are thriving and valued by everyone. If you want to use your skills to help reverse species decline, inspire action and deliver real conservation outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
Applications must be received by 5.00pm on 26 October 2026.
