Youth Program Coordinator

Our client, a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people in Mossel Bay, Western Cape
, is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Youth Program Coordinator. This role is crucial for developing, implementing, and overseeing engaging programs and activities designed to support the holistic development of local youth. The Coordinator will work closely with young people, community stakeholders, schools, and volunteers to create safe, inclusive, and enriching environments. This position requires a hybrid work model, involving both direct engagement with youth in Mossel Bay and remote administrative tasks, program planning, and communication.

• Develop, plan, and coordinate a variety of youth programs and activities, including educational, recreational, and life skills workshops.
• Engage directly with youth participants, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
• Build and maintain relationships with schools, community centers, and other organizations serving youth in Mossel Bay

• Recruit, train, and supervise youth program staff and volunteers.
• Manage program logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, and venue coordination.
• Develop program materials and outreach strategies to promote participation among youth.
• Monitor program effectiveness, gather feedback from participants and stakeholders, and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain accurate program records, attendance, and progress reports.
• Assist in budget management for youth programs and explore potential funding opportunities.
• Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in youth development.

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Education, Youth Development, Community Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in youth work, program coordination, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and delivering youth programs.
• Strong understanding of youth development principles and challenges facing young people in Mossel Bay and the Western Cape
  .
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to engage effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Comfortable working within a hybrid model, including on-site activities and remote tasks.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally within Mossel Bay
