Youth Outreach Program Manager

Our client, a dynamic organization dedicated to empowering young people and fostering positive youth development, is seeking an experienced Youth Outreach Program Manager for their Pretoria, Gauteng office. This leadership position involves designing, implementing, and overseeing innovative outreach programs aimed at engaging at-risk youth and providing them with essential life skills, educational support, and career guidance. The successful candidate will possess a passion for youth development, strong program management capabilities, and a proven track record in community engagement.

You will work collaboratively with schools, community centers, and other youth-serving organizations to maximize program impact.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending essential field engagement in Pretoria with the flexibility of remote work for strategic planning and administrative tasks.

• Develop and execute strategic plans for youth outreach initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of various youth programs, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, schools, and local authorities.
• Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and volunteers.
• Design and deliver engaging workshops and activities focused on life skills, education, and career development.
• Monitor program progress, collect data, and prepare comprehensive reports on outcomes and impact.
• Identify funding opportunities and contribute to grant writing efforts.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all program participants.
• Promote program awareness and recruit youth participants through effective outreach strategies.
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in youth development and community engagement.

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Community Development, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, with a specific focus on youth development or community outreach.
• Demonstrated success in designing and implementing impactful youth programs.
• Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in project management, budgeting, and reporting.
• Experience working with diverse youth populations and understanding their unique needs.
• Familiarity with the Pretoria, Gauteng community landscape and relevant organizations.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing on-site and remote responsibilities.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally as needed.
