Could you use your experience and passion for people to help ensure the Bible reaches the lives of those who are marginalised or facing difficult circumstances?
Job detailsHours: Full-time, permanent
Salary Range:£33,189 - £35,094 per annum
Bible Society believes the Bible is God’s gift for God’s world. We share it because we believe it changes lives for good. We want Christians to be confident in the Bible’s truthfulness and reliability, and we want to change how people talk about it in wider society and invite them to see it as a source of wisdom and joy.
Could you use your experience and passion for people to help ensure the Bible reaches the lives of those who are marginalised or facing difficult circumstances? As our Community Engagement Lead, you’ll shape and deliver programmes across England and Wales that increase access to and engagement with the Bible, with a particular focus on prisons, refugees and asylum seekers, and economically disadvantaged communities.
You’ll build strong partnerships with churches, Christian networks and other organisations, manage community initiatives and funding, and help develop strategies that turn our mission into meaningful, measurable impact. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic, relational and highly organised individual who wants to combine excellent programme management with a genuine heart for Bible mission.
This is a permanent role within a team that is entering a new phase of leadership. Therefore, the responsibilities of this role may develop over time. We are therefore looking for someone who is adaptable, enjoys shaping new ways of working, and is excited by the opportunity to help influence the future direction of community engagement at Bible Society.
Bible Society is proud to be an Equal Opportunities Employer. We value diversity and aspire to reflect this in our workforce. We welcome applications from people representing all sections of the community.
Interview date: First round: online interviews on Monday 30 November 2026. Second round: in-person interviews in Swindon on Thursday 10 December 2026.
