Remote Community Engagement Specialist

Our client, a national organization committed to building stronger communities through accessible support, is seeking a dedicated Remote Community Engagement Specialist. This position is entirely remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within South Africa while focusing on engaging and supporting communities. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing outreach strategies, fostering connections with local leaders, and ensuring our services reach those most inneed across various regions, with a particular focus on areas like Bloemfontein, Free State.

• Design and implement innovative remote and digital community engagement strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, stakeholders, and partner organizations across various geographic areas.
• Facilitate online community forums, webinars, and virtual events to disseminate information and gather feedback.
• Develop engaging content for digital platforms to promote community involvement and awareness.
• Identify community needs and challenges, and propose relevant program interventions.
• Coordinate outreach efforts to ensure equitable access to services for diverse populations.
• Track and report on key engagement metrics and program outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align community engagement efforts with organizational goals.
• Provide support and guidance to local community representatives or volunteers.
• Stay informed about best practices in digital engagement and community development.

• A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field.
• Proven experience in community engagement, outreach, or program coordination.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing digital engagement strategies.
• Excellent virtual communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using digital collaboration tools, social media platforms, and CRM systems.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Strong understanding of diverse community needs and cultural sensitivities.
• Excellent written communication and content creation skills.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting on engagement metrics.
