POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our team as per diem Home Infusion Nurses. In this rewarding role, you'll provide high-quality infusion therapy services to patients in the comfort of their own homes. This 1099 independent contractor position offers maximum flexibility, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while maintaining work-life balance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Administer intravenous medications including IVIG, specialty biologics and other infusion treatments in patients' homes
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs before, during, and after infusion therapy
- Insert and maintain peripheral IV lines and access central venous catheters (PICC lines, ports, midlines)
- Educate patients and caregivers on infusion therapy, potential side effects, and home care instructions
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records
- Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, and care teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately to medical emergencies
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control protocols consistently
- Manage infusion equipment and supplies efficiently
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and individual needs
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- 1 year of ICU, ER, or Infusion Nursing Experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with current auto insurance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical requirements of home visits
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer skills
- Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
