Hours:

Two 12‑hour shifts per week with every 3rd weekend rotation on Saturdays and Sundays. The required call is 16–24 hours per 6‑week schedule. Sign‑on bonus up to $10,000 available for qualified candidates.

LDRP Details: Sentara Martha Jefferson Women’s Health includes labor & delivery and a 24‑bed post‑partum mother/baby unit. The Level 2 newborn nursery has a 1:1 ratio; intermediate care babies have a 1:3 nursing ratio. The unit also provides post‑operative care for complex GYN and breast surgery. The 100‑member team is cross‑trained to deliver best‑in‑class care. The schedule is primarily 12‑hour shifts with rotating weekends and holiday requirements.

• Degree or diploma in Registered Nursing
• BSN or MSN Preferred

• Women’s Care – Perinatal departments; NRP within 6 months of hire
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• Registered nursing license required
• EFM – Electronic Fetal Monitoring preferred
• Certified Obstetrics Nursing preferred

• 2 years of acute care registered nurse experience in Women’s health – Required
• Labor & Delivery specific experience preferred
• Strong understanding of patient safety protocols
• Manages complex cases in fast‑paced environments
• Communicates with patients and providers
• Willingness to work night shift
