Overview
Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the 3-North Medical Telemetry Unit. This is a 36-hours per week, Night Shift position with a $20,000 Sign-On Bonus and Relocation Assistance available for qualified candidates
. Hours/Shift: Night Shift, 36 hours per week.
- Assessing and admitting patients.
- Rounding checks and ongoing patient monitoring.
- Administering medications and coordinating with healthcare teams.
- Communicating with patients' families and providing overall patient care.
- Collaborating with a team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or MSN (preferred).
- Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program (eligible for consideration per program guidelines).
- Registered Nursing License (required).
- Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License (eligible under program guidelines).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
- None required (entry-level acceptable).
- 1 year of acute care experience preferred.
- Previous healthcare experience preferred.
3 North is a Medical Telemetry Unit located on the third floor of SAMC with 24 beds, focusing on medical telemetry, observation, cardiac monitoring and treatment for conditions such as low-risk chest pain, COPD, pneumonia, and congestive heart failure.
