ResponsibilitiesThe registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence‑based care along the care continuum, including assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN participates in decision‑making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance patient care plans, achieve outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency. Duties may include symptom‑management, direct in‑clinic patient care, telehealth patient care, and quality improvement activities.
This is an excellent role for a nurse who likes a challenging environment responsible for telephone triage, assessing, planning, and educating our Pediatric Nephrology patients and families to ensure we deliver the best care while acting as a liaison between providers and patients.
Full time:
Monday – Friday 8:00 – 4:30. No weekends, holidays, or on‑call. Flexible scheduling and opportunities for hybrid schedule, some remote work.
- Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN);
Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. - Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
- May require ability to assess patients without face‑to‑face interaction.
- Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
