About the Role:
The purpose of the Registered Nurse Clinician is to provide medically prescribed infusion therapy to patients with acute and chronic conditions.
Schedule:
PRN;
Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturdays as needed.
Service Areas:
Douglas, GA and may travel to other clinics as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience/
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state(s) of practice.
- 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical specialty involving infusion therapy.
- BLS or obtain upon hire.
- Proficient at partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook, Word,Excel).
- Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm manner.
- Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.
Essential Functions:
- Work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team in an ambulatory infusion clinic setting.
- Effectively utilize the nursing process to assess and care for patients.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in a professional, ethical, knowledgeable, and compassionate manner.
- Provide disease and drug-specific education to patients and caregivers.
- Comply with HIPAA and ACHC regulations.
- Participates in on-call rotation as assigned for AIC nurses.
- Travel to outlying clinics as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of medical/nursing practices by participating in educational in-services.
- Accurately perform all nursing duties according to the state nurse practice act while adhering to company policies and procedures including, but not limited to:
- accessing and maintaining central lines and PIVs
- obtaining lab specimens
- collecting vital signs
- Safely administer intravenous and injectable medications as ordered by prescribing physicians
- documenting patient care
- responding to and accurately reporting adverse drug reactions
- assisting with administrative duties as needed
