RN - Registered Nurse - Senior Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist - CCDS Certification

• Review inpatient medical records within 24‑48 hours of admission to evaluate documentation for accurate DRG assignment
• Attend physician rounds and interdisciplinary team meetings to facilitate documentation improvement
• Provide ongoing education to physicians and healthcare providers on the importance of complete documentation
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to resolve documentation queries before patient discharge
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and organizational information while promoting partnerships with coding staff

• Current Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) certification
• Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania or a Multistate License
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare‑related field
• Basic Life Support Certification

• Strong understanding of Anatomy and Physiology
• Experience in clinical documentation improvement initiatives
• Familiarity with medical records management systems
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks
