Registered Nurse System-Wide Pool

Overview

Norfolk, VA. Multiple shifts available. This is a full-time permanent position with benefits, premium pay, and differentials. 6-12 week assignments as a System-wide Traveler (SWAP) RN, with the ability to travel to all 12 Sentara hospitals based on greatest need (including Southside and Peninsula Hampton Roads, Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Halifax, and Albemarle, NC).

Compensation and travel details: $15 more per hour based on specialty vs working at one hospital, premium pay, and an expansive benefits package. For assignments greater than 75 miles from home, block scheduling (home in between weekly blocks), meal reimbursement, lodging provided, pay for travel time, rental car or mileage reimbursement, and the opportunity to earn hotel and rental points.

Assignment characteristics: 6-12 week assignments; you must be able to travel to Sentara hospitals based on system-wide need.

Minimum experience for assignments: 2 years of recent experience in Medical Surgical or Stepdown Intermediate Care, rotating shifts.

Qualifications

Education:

Registered Nursing Diploma

Certification:
Valid RN license

Provide patient care across Sentara Health system facilities as part of a SWAP travel nursing pool, supporting multiple hospitals as needs arise, including blocks of time away from the home facility.
