Overview
Sentara RMH Medical Center is now hiring a Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical on the 4 East Medical Surgical unit in Harrisonburg, VA. This role is ideal for candidates who have experience or interest in caring for surgical patients across General Surgery, Gastrointestinal, OB-Gyn, Orthopedics, Vascular, Urology, Nephrology, and more. A sign-on bonus up to $20,000 is offered. The work shift is Third (Nights).
Education requirements include an Associates Degree - Nursing (Bachelor’s Degree - Nursing preferred).
Qualifications- Certification/Licensure:
Registered Nurse - Experience:
Previous acute care experience is preferred but not required - Transition to Practice/Nurse Residency Program: 10-week Transition to Practice (TTP) with a pathway to a 6-month residency for new graduates
The RN provides a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and teaching. The RN will work within standards of practice and professional performance across ethics, communication, leadership, evidence-based practice, quality, and resource utilization.
Program Details- Transition to Practice/Nurse Residency: 10-week TTP with case studies, simulations, and skills labs
