Sentara Belle Harbour Ambulatory Surgery Center is hiring a Direct Care RN II for a full‑time, day shift in Suffolk, VA. No nights, weekends, call, or major holidays.
Hours/
Schedule:
Monday–Friday. Variable scheduling: either five 8‑hour or four 9‑hour days within facility operating hours based on unit need.
Operating hours:
Monday–Friday 05:30 am–6:00 pm (variations may occur). Sign‑on bonus up to $15,000 for qualified candidates.
The center offers high‑quality care with a collaborative environment of RN, surgical techs, sterile services, and support staff. Dedicated admit recovery and 6‑bed PACU. Currently one OR with plans for a second. Procedures include orthopedics, gynecology, plastics, ENT, urology, general, and podiatry. Between 3–8 procedures per day. Staff will float to Sentara Obici Hospital Surgical Services to support OR staffing on lower volume days.

The RN is responsible to perform competent nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process, standards of practice, and professional performance. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation.
Education and Qualifications- Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
- Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) or MSN (preferred)
- Registered Nursing License (required)
- ACLS certified within 1 year of hire
- PALS certified within 1 year of hire
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
- Pre/Post/PACU experience in an acute care setting or outpatient surgery (required)
- Previous operating or procedural surgery experience (preferred)
- 1 year acute nursing care experience (required)
- Ability to manage complex cases in fast‑paced environments
- Effective communication with patients and providers
