Clinical Manager – Long‑term Care at Authora Care Collective, Greensboro, NC
Full‑time position. Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Job SummaryShared authority and responsibility for the administration of nursing for Home Care patients in partnership with the Senior Director of Home based Hospice Care/Senior Director of Long Term Care. Plans, organizes, and leads a cost‑efficient standard of nursing care, ensuring professional standards and compliance with local, state, and federal licensing and credentialing agencies.
Responsibilities- Serve as a clinical resource to clinical staff.
- Oversee employee competencies and performance appraisal.
- Conduct documentation and quality monitoring audits.
- Manage EMR system standard workflow, orders, and tasks, ensuring daily operations are accurate.
- Accountability for experience-of-care scores, quality metrics, agency core values, and behaviors.
- Own and follow up on consumer complaints promptly.
- Manage nursing caseloads, assign and rebalance staff as needed.
- Facilitate and/or support weekly interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings.
- Coordinate and work with employees and volunteers of Authora Care as needed.
- Collaborate with all Nursing Department staff, CNAs, Medical Director and Team Physicians, Referral Center, Medical Records, Support Services, Volunteer Services, and the Leadership Team.
- Engage with all members of the interdisciplinary team, other health‑care professionals, and administrative staff.
- Liaise with other Hospice and health‑care organizations, including physicians, physician practices, and hospital personnel.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Currently licensed as an RN in North Carolina and in good standing with the NCBON.
- Three to five years of experience in health care, preferably in hospice.
- Trained and experienced in patient care, hospice philosophy, and knowledge of home‑care services.
- CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support) is required.
- In‑depth knowledge of hospice, interdisciplinary team relationships, and community resources.
- Excellent assessment, clinical nursing skills, and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capable of innovation, effective communication, and strong relational skills.
- Good organizational skills and demonstrable supervisory and managerial ability.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Three to five years of management experience in health care; hospice preferred.
- CHPN certification preferred.
- Valid state‑issued driver's license required; own transportation necessary.
