• Seeking Psych Nurse Practitioner who Initiates entry into the mental health care system. Elicit health, illness, psychosocial and family history. Performs physical exams, orders appropriate diagnostic tests, record the history, physical examination, diagnostic tests, and an evaluation of health status based on assessment data. Establishes and records a plan of care. Regulates and adjusts medications and treatments. Monitors and records progress, evaluates plan of care and makes modifications accordingly.
  
  Consults and collaborates with members of the health care team in the assessment of management of mental health problems. Provide teaching and counseling aimed at prevention of illness and accident modification of risk factors to health, and maintenance of high level wellness. Provide initial care of emergencies and arranges for continuing definitive care. Assume responsibility for the identification and therapeutic management of minor illnesses.
