Leading hospital that serves the psychiatric and chemical dependency needs of patients and their families throughout the New England area is seeking an experienced family psychiatric nurse practitioner to join their team. The facility promotes recovery and wellness, and strives to be a center of excellence and a state of the art mental health facility. The treatment team includes Board-certified psychiatrists, Family Practice physicians, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychologists, nurses, social workers, mental health counselors, and Case managers.
Responsibilities- Serve in a lead clinical role in a mental health setting that employs a team-based approach and evidence-based practices.
- Treat adolescent through adult patients and work with families.
- Collaborate with MH clinicians and psychiatrists to ensure patients’ mental health is optimized as we strive toward recovery.
- Involve yourself in all aspects of care including patient evaluation and diagnosis, medication management, treatment, and consultation.
- Experience as a Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with capability to lead clinical activities.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and other care team members.
- Experience treating adolescents through adults and engaging with families.
