The charge nurse is responsible for the day to day clinical aspects of the nursing triage role by providing clinical support to nursing staff; in addition to administrative duties
Charge Nurse In conjunction with Nurse Manager and Associate Director of Clinical Operations works collaboratively with the other clinic services is responsible for the day-to-day management of on-site clinical and patient related services.
Charge Nurse Provides and supervises effective triage and floor training to new nurses and continues to provide clinical support to established nurses
In collaboration with the Nurse Manager, the Charge Nurse is responsible for coordinating the development and maintenance of clinical schedules for the RNs to ensure appropriate Provider/Nurse/Medical Assistant ratios and coverage
Functions as a Triage Nurse for 50-60% of the time, and performs management and administrative duties for the balance of the time.
Handle Oversight and management of inventory and purchasing of medical supplies for the essential functioning of the medical practice. Supports the maintenance and functioning of the medical equipment to ensure a safe patient and staff environment, and compliance with all applicable regulations and laws
Licensed in Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse with 3+ years’ experience in nursing/nursing supervision with recent clinical experience in outpatient medical setting
