Dignity Health Medical Group has a need for a General Cardiology Advanced Practitioner in Prescott, AZ (90 minutes from downtown Phoenix, AZ).

• Collaborate closely with the Cardiologists.
• Conduct thorough pre-procedure evaluations, including patient history review, physical assessments, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Educate patients and their families about the details of heart procedures, including risks, benefits, and post-procedure care instructions.
• Assist in the coordination of patient care throughout the process, from pre-procedure preparation to post-procedure recovery and follow-up.
• Monitor patients' progress and recovery following procedures, addressing any complications or concerns as they arise.
• Provide ongoing patient education on medication management and lifestyle modifications to support long‑term heart health.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians and surgeons, and allied health professionals, to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records, documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards.

• Degree as a Physician Assistant
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Background in pre-med preferred
• Minimum 3 years orthopedic PA experience, preferably in an acute setting.
• Must hold and maintain: a.) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, b.) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant.
• Valid DEA registration.
• Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff

• Master's Degree in nursing. Graduate of accredited program for nurse practitioners
• Compact state or Arizona RN license
• Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse license
• Surgical First Assist certification
• Minimum of 3 years orthopedic NP experience, preferably in an acute setting.
• Must hold and maintain National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations: a.) NP-AACN, b.) NP-AANP, c.) NP-ANCC, or d). NP-PNCB
• Valid DEA registration
• Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff
