Triage Registered Nurse - Rheumatology @ Hill

Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) for Rheumatology provides professional nursing care to patients within the practice. The RN is expected to help assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care while overseeing the work of the licensed practical nurse, and ancillary staff in the Practice.

• Monitor and address all patient/provider telephone and electronic correspondence.
• Contact providers for orders and treatment plans; call patients to convey the plan and provide education.
• Document correspondence in Epic IN-BASKET; manage Work Pools/Work Que's.
• Review patient calls; determine if provider communication is necessary.
• Form care plan with provider; write orders or prescriptions and patient letters for work/school excuses; execute orders and ensure patient understanding.
• Review prescription refills received electronically daily; evaluate refill appropriateness, appointment compliance, medication dose accuracy.
• Review patient email messages; determine necessary provider involvement; manage care plan and respond with treatment plan and education.
• Remote position with one mandatory day in office.

• NYS licensed/registered RN.
• Prior experience in an outpatient setting (specialty area) strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

Work days:
Monday through Friday daytime hours. This remote position requires a minimum of one day in office.

G7: $30.50 - $49.49 (Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations.)
