RN Health Care Facility Surveyor – Indiana (#1151)
Impact Recruiting Solutions is seeking an RN Health Care Facility Surveyor to work 100% remote with up to 75% travel. The Surveyor will serve as a team member or team leader on various types of surveys (re‑certification, comparative, complaint investigation, and revisits) for long‑term care and non‑long‑term care facilities nationwide.
Responsibilities- Conduct on‑site surveys of Medicare‑Medicaid certified health care facilities to determine compliance with Federal regulations.
- Prepare for surveys off‑site, tour the facility, observe care, review records, interview staff and families, and assess if care, treatment, and services are consistent with Federal requirements.
- Evaluate many aspects of the facility system from quality of care to consumers’ rights and physical plant.
- Communicate non‑compliance issues with key personnel throughout the site review and during the exit conference to assure understanding of deficiencies.
- Determine if a plan of correction is acceptable.
- Conduct follow‑up visits and monitoring surveys to ascertain if correction plans have been implemented.
- Assist with facility and bureau training and participate in work groups as needed.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Successfully completed CMS’s Long‑Term Care Basic Training and passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT).
- At least two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities that serve residents of long‑term care facilities.
- Current RN licensure.
- Demonstrated independent decision‑making skills to direct and effectively manage the survey process.
- Ability to set priorities independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to openly discuss conflicts and seek assistance when appropriate to make decisions and resolve conflicts.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis is required.
- Salary $75,000 - 90,000 per year.
- Full‑time position (Monday - Friday).
