Sarcoma Clinical Nurse SpecialistThe closing date is 25 February 2026
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Nurse to work as the Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Oncology Sarcoma/GIST Team.
You will be based within Oncology out patients but also be involved with in patient care. You will have excellent communication and time management skills, the ability to work under pressure and to work alongside and manage the current Support Nurse.
You will work with various members of the wider MDT team, managing and supporting patients from referral, during treatment and towards end of life. The caseload incorporates Teenage and Young Adult (TYA).
You will have the ability to work as an autonomous practitioner, developing and leading nurse led clinics, showing evidence of advanced decision making whilst being a core member of the wider Oncology CNS Team.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder is a recognised expert in Sarcoma/GIST and responsible for managing a caseload of patients, whilst co-ordinating and streamlining their care.
Responsible for providing specialist advice, support and liaising with other MDT members.
Responsible for implementing a clearly defined integrated approach to patient care encompassing new treatments and evidence based care.
