Propela Health is transforming healthcare recruitment in Africa by building ethical, transparent pathways for nurses to access international career opportunities.
We have seen what's broken in healthcare recruitment, from predatory agencies charging nurses thousands with false promises to no support during and after placement.
Backed by Jobtech Alliance, we're addressing the global healthcare workforce shortage (4.1 million nurses by 2030) while creating life-changing opportunities for African healthcare professionals.
Building ethical healthcare career mobility, one nurse at a time.
Role DescriptionOPEN TO ALL SOUTH AFRICAN PROVINCES (Online Programme)
This is NOT a traditional job posting. It is an invitation to join Propela Health's Cohort 1, a 5-week online readiness programme preparing South African nurses for UK and Ireland healthcare careers.
IMPORTANT:
While the Linked In location shows "Cape Town," this programme is ONLINE and open to registered nurses across ALL South African provinces. You do not need to be based in or relocate to Cape Town.
- ✅ Regulatory guidance for UK/Ireland nursing registration (NMC/NMBI)
- ✅ Direct placement support with verified UK/Ireland healthcare facilities
- ✅ Post-placement support and check-ins
- Duration: 5 weeks
- Format:
Online training + assessments (participate from anywhere in SA) - OET Exam:
Scheduled during/after training completion - Placement Support
- Target Destinations: UK & Ireland healthcare facilities (hospitals, care homes, community health)
- Attend online OET preparation classes
- Complete assignments and practice assessments
- Engage with cohort peers and instructors
- Prepare regulatory documentation for UK/Ireland registration
- Participate in interview preparation and cultural orientation sessions
THE REALITY CHECK:
This is NOT a guaranteed job. The OET exam is challenging (nearly 50% of candidates fail the writing section on their first attempt). International placement requires dedication, preparation, and resilience.
But if you're willing to invest the effort, we'll match that energy by investing in your success.
Final date to receive applications: 25 February 2026 (Rolling admissions, first come, first served - limit of 10 selections for this programme)
