We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Occupational Health nursing team. The role involves delivering workplace immunity checks, vaccination clinics, fitness‑for‑work assessments, managing exposure incidents, contract tracing and participating in clinical audit and service development.
Main Duties- Undertake workplace immunity checks
- Provide workplace vaccination clinics
- Conduct fitness for work assessments
- Manage inoculation and blood exposure incidents
- Assist with management of contract tracing and outbreak follow‑up
- Participate in departmental clinical audit and service development work
- Current UK NMC Level 1 registration as a Registered Nurse
- Degree level qualification in Adult Nursing (RN Adult / RGN) or equivalent
- Trained to UKHSA level and able to deliver immunisation clinics for a broad range of vaccinations
- Trained in audiometry & spirometry with up‑to‑date certificates
- Community nursing experience (practice, school, district, A&E, etc.)
- Experience undertaking patient assessments face‑to‑face, by telephone or email
- Experience working autonomously with minimal supervision
- Experience in occupational health
- Experience managing blood‑borne virus exposures
- Understanding of health & safety legislation
- Infection control experience
- Knowledge of current occupational health issues
- Good planning, organisational and analytical skills
- Computer literate (Excel, Word, electronic databases)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to deal effectively with difficult/sensitive issues
- Ability to produce accurate documents
- Effective time management and workload management
- Valid driver’s licence; willing to travel between sites and occasionally to external locations
Applicants should be adaptable, well‑motivated, able to work at pace, comfortable working independently or as part of a team, and possess strong communication skills for face‑to‑face and virtual interaction.
