District Nurse - Specialist Practitioner, Community Services

An exciting opportunity has become available for a District Nurse Specialist Practitioner to join the Overnight Service within Renfrewshire HSCP. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and motivated District Nurse looking to become part of a supportive team. Working as a member of the Primary Health Care Team and in collaboration with the Clinical Team Leaders, you will provide clinical and managerial leadership, supporting the delivery of high-quality, person‑centred care while contributing to the implementation of local and national strategies.

• This is a permanent part-time post working 27 hours per week over Monday–Sunday 9:30 pm – 7:00 am.
• This post will be based in Renfrewshire HSCP.
• Please note the salary is pro rata for part‑time hours.

• You will provide clinical and managerial leadership to the nursing team and be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the service, ensuring the delivery of person‑centred assessment and care planning.
• You will provide clinical expertise, supervision and oversight to the team, promoting high standards of patient care and supporting continuous service improvement.
• Working collaboratively with the Clinical Team Leaders to support the implementation of local and national strategies.

• Registered Nurse with current Level 1 Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
• Successfully attained the Specialist Practitioner Qualification (SPQ) in District Nursing or equivalent.
• Experience of working within District Nursing or Community Nursing services.
• Demonstrable clinical leadership and management skills.
• Knowledge of person‑centred assessment and care planning.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication, organisational and decision‑making skills.
• A current driving licence is essential, as community travel is a requirement of the role.
