Job Description
The Site Occupational Health role focuses on promoting, maintaining, and restoring the overall well‑being of employees to improve their optimal performance. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive health and wellness services in alignment with global medical priorities and site objectives, supporting site assessments and risk analyses, and delivering nursing care for occupational and non‑occupational illnesses and injuries.
Key Responsibilities
Provide occupational health practices in accordance with company standards and all applicable regulations in the Province of Ontario.
Provide emergency care and technical support for site emergency response planning, including but not limited to medical emergency response and crisis management.
Work with third‑party vendors to facilitate health services programs and resources based on business needs.
Maintain current knowledge of site risks and hazards, including ergonomics.
Manage and maintain confidential P&G electronic medical records and off‑site paper records as required by law.
Maintain medical directives related to nursing practice and comply with the College of Nurses of Ontario standards, under the direction of the site contract physician.
Perform administrative and task work duties to deliver operational excellence in all health systems.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Education or experience in occupational health nursing preferred.
Valid Standard First Aid & CPR/AED certificate.
Experience working with external business partners related to disability case management, including STD, LTD and WSIB.
Strong communication, problem‑solving, interpersonal, and computer skills.
Literacy in a Windows environment, utilizing Word, Excel and Outlook.
Preferred Experience or Certifications
Minimum 2 years of occupational health experience or 3 years in a critical care or emergency department setting.
COHN or COHN‑S preferred or working towards the certification.
Knowledge of applicable Ontario laws and regulations related to occupational health.
