Community Staff Nurse - Community Nursing

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Nurse with a first-level adult nursing qualification to join the team as a Community Band 5 Staff Nurse. The post involves working within the Primary Health Care Team, delivering nursing care to individuals in a community setting under the direction and supervision of the District Nurse.

All other roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

• Permanent, Full-time
• Shift Pattern - 5/ 7 days including weekends and Public Holidays. Will also include late shifts 7.5/9 hour shifts between 08.00 hrs and 21.30hrs.
• Base location - Renfrew HSCP

• Work as part of the Primary Health Care Team.
• Assess the health and care needs of individuals within the community.
• Deliver agreed plans of care under the supervision of the District Nurse.
• Work autonomously while contributing to the wider multidisciplinary HSCP team.
• Demonstrate effective leadership and communication skills in daily practice.
• Provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care in a dynamic community environment.
• Support the delivery of community-based healthcare services.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Registered Nurse with a first-level adult nursing qualification/degree.
• Significant nursing experience.
• Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Passion for a career in community nursing services.
• Ability to work independently and make clinical judgments within own scope of practice.
• Understanding of community healthcare delivery and person-centred care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
