An opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (Band
5) to join the Stewartry Community Mental Health Nursing Team on a permanent basis. This is a post in which the successful candidate will work with people who present with moderate to severe mental health issues. The post holder will provide assessment, support, advice and interventions to support people to recover and work towards sustained wellbeing and self management.
The post holder will work closely with patients and carers and will link in with colleagues across the health and social care partnership, third and independent sector. Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong therapeutic working relationships is a vital part of this post.
The post holder must be able to demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively work within a busy clinical team, to support safe and effective clinical assessment for patients who access the Community mental health service. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with complex mental health issues and must hold a Registered Mental Health Nurse Qualification and NMC PIN, as demonstrated within the Personal Specification and Job Description.
This post will provide opportunity for personal development and growth in a friendly, experienced and supportive team. Full supervision, mentoring and training will be provided.
