An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Glasgow Community Mental Health Acute Care Service (CMHACS) as a Senior CMHACS Nurse. There are two permanent part-time posts (18 hours per week) available, with vacancies within our North West and North East Glasgow teams.
CMHACS is a seven-day service providing high-quality, specialist mental health support to individuals experiencing an acute mental health crisis. The service plays a vital role in delivering rapid assessment, intensive community-based treatment, and crisis intervention, helping individuals receive care in the least restrictive environment possible.
CMHACS provides fair and timely access to specialist mental health care for people experiencing acute mental health crises. The team delivers comprehensive mental health assessments and develops robust treatment plans aimed at supporting recovery and reducing the need for hospital admission. A key function of the service is to provide a credible alternative to inpatient admission by safely supporting individuals within their own communities wherever possible.
The team also works closely with acute inpatient services to facilitate home passes and timely discharge when clinical risk can be appropriately managed within the community setting.
We are seeking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who can work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
