We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Dental Nurse to join our Public Dental Service (PDS) to provide patient-centred dental support in NHS Dumfries & Galloway. This unique opportunity will see you providing direct and indirect support to both patients and the clinical team.
The position is within our Scottish Emergency Dental Service (SEDS) providing clinics from Galloway Community Hospital. The post holder would be required to work 7 hours per weekend, 1 weekend in 3 and work additional hours to cover public holidays, annual leave and sickness. This post will also involve reception duties.
Relevant clinical experience as a Dental Nurse and NEBDN qualification or SVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing are essential along with registration with GDC as a Dental Nurse. A sound knowledge of Health & Safety requirements within a clinical environment are essential as well as the ability to find solutions to problems, deal with the pressure of a diverse clinic whilst retaining excellent and efficient communications skills.
