Are you a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse looking to develop your career within a supportive and progressive healthcare environment? As a Band 5 Staff Nurse with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care to a defined patient group. You will play a key role in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care while supporting patients and their families throughout their healthcare journey.

You will be based at The Glasgow Royal Infirmary
Working Pattern:
Monday - Friday

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.

Key responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based care programmes tailored to individual patient needs
Provide high-quality nursing care while promoting dignity, compassion and patient involvement in decision-making
Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records in line with NMC standards and organisational requirements
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care
Supervise, support and act as a role model for healthcare support workers, students and junior staff
Contribute to quality improvement, audit, research and clinical governance activities within the service
Support the effective day-to-day management of resources, equipment and supplies within the clinical area

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

First or Second Level Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
Relevant or significant post-registration nursing experience within a healthcare setting
Demonstrable ability to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care within a clinical environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, families and colleagues
Ability to work independently, use sound clinical judgement and prioritise workload effectively
Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
Ability to lead, support and supervise colleagues within a busy multidisciplinary healthcare environment
