Are you a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse looking to make a real impact on patient care through clinical research? NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Senior Research Nurse to join the Glasgow Clinical Research Facility (GCRF), supporting the delivery of innovative clinical trials and research studies across primary care, community and acute settings. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

Full-time, Fixed Term for 2 years
You will be based at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital
Working Monday - Friday (08:30
-16:30) with flexibility to meet service demands

Key responsibilities:

Lead and manage an agreed portfolio of clinical research studies from start-up through to study closure
Recruit, consent and support research participants while ensuring their safety, wellbeing and positive study experience
Coordinate and deliver protocol-specific assessments, interventions and study visits in line with regulatory requirements
Develop recruitment and retention strategies to support successful study delivery across primary care and community settings
Provide specialist clinical research advice and support to multidisciplinary teams and research-active GP practices
Supervise, mentor and support research nurses and other team members, promoting continuous learning and development
Maintain accurate research records, study documentation and reporting requirements in accordance with Good Clinical Practice, governance standards and organisational policies

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

Registered Nurse with significant current and relevant clinical experience within an acute, community or primary care setting
Demonstrable clinical competencies including venepuncture, cannulation, IV drug administration and immediate life support
Experience leading clinical research studies, quality improvement projects, audits or comparable healthcare initiatives
Knowledge of current clinical research regulations, governance frameworks and Good Clinical Practice principles
Evidence of continuing professional development with degree-level education or equivalent experience
Strong organisational, prioritisation and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing demands
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, electronic patient records and web-based clinical research systems
