Team Leader - Children & Family Health Teams

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated nurse to join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a Team Leader within Children & Family Health Services. In this key leadership role, you will provide operational management, professional leadership and clinical oversight to a Children & Family Health Team, supporting the delivery of high-quality services for children, young people and families across your local area.

Working within multidisciplinary and multi-agency environments, you will play a vital role in driving service improvement, supporting staff development and ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding. • Part-time, Permanent
• You will be based at Rowan Park Business Park
• Working Pattern:
  Week 1
  - Mon & Fri Week 2-Mon,Thurs, Fri

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.

• Provide operational leadership and professional management to a Children & Family Health Team within a designated geographical area
• Lead, support and develop team members through supervision, performance management and personal development processes
• Manage resources, workforce deployment and caseload activity to ensure safe, effective and efficient service delivery
• Promote partnership working across health, social care, education and third-sector organisations to improve outcomes for children and families
• Lead and contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, audit and service development activities
• Support the implementation of national and local policies, ensuring compliance with child protection, safeguarding and professional standards
• Deputise for the Service Manager when required and provide leadership support across Children & Family Services

• First Level Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
• Post-registration qualification in Health Visiting or Public Health Nursing
• Relevant or significant post-registration experience as a Public Health Nurse, Health Visitor or School Nurse
• Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of child protection, safeguarding and relevant legislation relating to children, families and vulnerable individuals
• Leadership and management experience with the ability to lead teams, manage change and support workforce development
• Full driving licence and ability to travel across the service area as required
