Oncology RN – Medical Record Abstraction | Remote

Our client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of the world’s largest distributors of healthcare systems, medical supplies, and pharmaceutical products, is seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) with Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) chart abstraction experience
.

This is a fully remote, 3-month contract with possible extension, working Monday–Friday during standard business hours.

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST

$40/hour

The Oncology RN – Medical Record Abstraction professional will review oncology-related clinical documentation and accurately abstract relevant patient information from electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) into designated electronic data capture tools
.

Candidates must have prior Oncology RN experience as well as hands-on electronic medical record/chart abstraction experience
.

• Accurately and efficiently perform electronic medical record abstraction
  .
• Review oncology-related clinical documentation and abstract required information into electronic data capture systems.
• Navigate EHR/EMR databases efficiently to locate relevant clinical information.
• Complete quality and accuracy testing as requested within established timelines.
• Maintain accuracy, completeness, and strong attention to detail when reviewing patient records.
• Comply with all HIPAA requirements and patient confidentiality standards

• Manage multiple assignments while meeting established deadlines.

• Active RN license.
• Oncology RN experience is required.
• Electronic medical record/chart abstraction experience is required.
• Proficiency navigating EHR/EMR databases
  .
• Clinical and/or pharmaceutical experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  .
• High-speed internet access for remote work.

• Experience performing medical record/chart abstraction in an oncology setting
  .
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.
• Academic or research experience.
